Varina High School reports new COVID-19 positive test

An employee of Varina High School who was in the school as recently as Oct. 5 tested positive for COVID-19 Oct. 8, according to the school system. It was the second employee case at the school since August; on Aug. 12, the school closed for several days because an employee who tested positive had had close contact with several others in the building.
The new case brings to 34 the total number reported at 26 Henrico public schools since Aug. 12.
