Varina crash kills Henrico woman

A 70-year-old Henrico woman died in a two-car accident in Varina July 14. The crash happened at about 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of Darbytown Road and Turner Road, according to Henrico Police.

First-responders found that a Ford F-250 truck traveling east on Darbytown Road struck a Nissan Altima that was attempting to turn onto Darbytown from Turner.

The victim, Louise Edwards, died at a local hospital. Neither speed nor alcohol are considered factors in the crash, according to police.
