Two more virus-related deaths reported in Henrico

Twenty-two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and two new virus-related deaths have been reported this morning in Henrico. That brings the county’s confirmed case count to 898 and death count to 102.

Both of those whose deaths were reported today were in their 80s, and overall that age bracket has seen 53 of the county’s deaths.

Statewide, almost 15,000 new test results were announced this morning– that’s the largest single day increase in testing since the pandemic began. Of those, only about 7 percent tested positive.

In total now the state has almost 17,000 confirmed cases out of 105,000 people who have been tested, or about 16 percent.
