Tucker High School student stabbed at bus stop

A J.R. Tucker High School student was stabbed at her bus stop Thursday morning, according to Henrico Police.

The stabbing occurred at the intersection of Fairlake Lane and Fairlake Court (near Hungary Road and Springfield Road) just after 8:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they found the girl suffering from non-life-threatening stab wounds. She was transported to a local hospital.

Police detectives are following up on leads and speaking with witnesses, officials said. Henrico County Public Schools officials have made counselors and additional resources available at the school today.
