The morning rush hour in Eastern Henrico slowed to a crawl today following a fiery tractor-trailer crash on I-295. The truck crashed in the far right lane on northbound 295 at Charles City Road, possibly after striking debris in the road, according to Virginia State Police. It then caught fire and burned, charring the bridge in the process. All lanes were closed for several hours, with traffic passing by on the far left shoulder.

The driver was not injured, but all 42,000 pounds of juice the truck was hauling were lost.
