J.R. Tucker High School biology teacher Jane Selden is celebrating her 45th year in the classroom – all in Henrico – and to mark the occasion, County Manager John Vithoulkas, Henrico Schools Superintendent Amy Cashwell, Vithoulkas’s Chief of Staff Cari Tretina and Tucker Principal Art Raymond surprised her at her home with gifts, including a custom Tucker letter jacket, a service pin to commemorate her anniversary, a cake and flowers.

Vithoulkas and Tretina both are former students of Selden’s at Tucker, where she has spent the last 41 years and nine months, following two years at Fairfield Middle and two at Freeman High.
