'Toby Town' dog daycare opening in Henrico June 22

A new dog daycare will open June 22 in Henrico's Near West End.
Toby Town, named in honor of owner Gloria Ruggeri's late Daschund, is located at 2100 Maywill Street and features 6,700 square feet of space, as many as 80 modern kennel accommodations and indoor and outdoor play areas.
The business will host a grand opening event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 22, featuring food trucks, pet adoptions, dog-centric vendors, dog snacks, games and prizes. The first 150 guests will receive a giveaway from Joey's Hot Dogs, and the first 500 guests will receive a free Kona Ice.
Ruggeri has built a facility that she said her Toby would have loved.
“We know how important it is for dog parents to feel confident their dog is in caring, knowledgeable hands when they are away,” she said. “At Toby Town RVA, we work with clients to understand their dog’s special needs. We take great pride in meeting and exceeding pet parents’ expectations and dogs’ individual requirements.”
