As part of its annual philanthropic endeavour, the organization has selected charities from the U.S., United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Malaysia, Belgium, Indonesia, and the Netherlands. The recipients will use the funding to support a range of projects that provide digital skills training, education, and employment opportunities for under-resourced veterans and their families.

The funding will significantly bolster the work of Tech for Troops, an organization that supports veterans with technology, skills, and support to re-enter the workforce and connect with loved ones. The donation will enable Tech for Troops to expand its programs and reach more veterans in need, providing them with the technology and training necessary to help them build better futures, according to the organization.

“This year’s group of charities truly show how technology can be used to create abundant opportunities for future success in today’s digital world," said MJ Shoer, chief community officer of CompTIA. "Each organization has its own unique mission making positive impacts in their local communities and across the globe. CompTIA Community member groups are honored to provide them with funds to address the latest challenges and build a stronger technology industry for future generations.”
