Section of Markel Road to close for safety improvements beginning Jan. 16
Markel Road between Byrd Avenue and Willow Lawn Drive will be closed beginning Monday, Jan. 16 for work to improve pedestrian safety. The closure is expected until about the first week of March. The project will install an elevated crosswalk on Markel and provide traffic calming devices and other improvements
