[maxgallery id="41145"]From research posters and craft projects to videos and virtual reality, students, teachers and leaders from Henrico County public schools displayed the educational innovation occurring in their schools at the 10th annual Henrico 21 Life Ready Learning Exhibition, which took place May 22 at Glen Allen High School.

Each year, every Henrico public school showcases some of its best approaches to teaching and learning in the 21st century and displays its top related projects.

After a brief opening ceremony and four Chromebook giveaways from sponsor Dell, participants presented their projects and lessons at their respective school booths at the school.

Henrico 21 began in 2010 as a ceremony designed primarily to recognize teachers’ educational projects and gradually evolved year-to-year, increasingly involving student participation and ideas.

This year’s Henrico 21 combined the teacher ceremony and student showcase segments into one exhibition, “featuring students, teachers, and leaders together, sharing their school’s best learner-centered experiences to promote the development of critical knowledge, skills and attributes for life readiness,” according to the website of the Henrico Learner Profile, the school system’s new teaching approach.
