Stone Bridge clips Highland Springs in tight victory 28-26

Saturday’s outing turned into an endurance test that Stone Bridge passed in a 28-26 victory at Highland Springs’ expense in a Virginia high school football matchup on December 4.

Stone Bridge avoided the brakes and shifted into victory gear via a 7-6 stretch over the final quarter.

Stone Bridge broke in front at the beginning of the fourth quarter with a 21-20 lead over Highland Springs.

A halftime tie at 14-14 allowed for a respite as both teams looked to regroup in the locker room.

The Bulldogs opened with a 7-0 advantage over the Springers through the first quarter.
