Sportable, Central Virginia’s premier adaptive sports club, announced recently that SouthState has been named presenting sponsor of the seventh-annual Wayne Samford Memorial Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held May 10 at The Dominion Club in Glen Allen.  Proceeds will directly benefit Sportable’s mission to make adaptive sports accessible throughout the greater Richmond area.

The seventh annual Wayne Samford Memorial Golf Tournament, presented by SouthState, is sold out with 32 teams slated for an 11:30 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament format is captain's choice, with contests for longest drive, closest to the pin on four holes, and other awards.

“We are thrilled to have signed SouthState as the Presenting Sponsor of this year’s Wayne Samford Memorial Golf Tournament,” commented Hunter Leemon, executive director of Sportable. “To add a title sponsor as supportive of our mission as SouthState is the perfect tribute to Wayne Samford. We are looking forward to continuing Wayne’s legacy with a top class event at The Dominion Club in May.”
