Sierra Club to meet online Nov. 15

The November Sierra Club Falls of the James Group meeting will take virtually Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. (The event originally was planned as an in-person gathering at the Varina Area Library.) Devin Jefferson, community science catalyst at the Science Museum of Virginia, will speak about the topic of "BioBlitzes and Community Science."For details visit sierraclub.org/virginia/falls-james/.
At the Oct. 11 FOJG meeting, John and Bucci Zeugner and Gill Sigmon were recognized with Sierra Club Virginia Chapter volunteer awards. The October meeting, held at Libbie Mill Library, featured Charlotte Brody of the BlueGreen Alliance, who spoke on the topic "How Toxic Chemicals are Harming Everyone, but Harming People of Color More."
