Short Pump shooting sends one to the hospital

An overnight shooting April 29 in a Short Pump townhome community sent one man to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At about 1:09 a.m., Henrico Police officers responded to the 4200 Block of Broad Hill Drive in the Saunders Station Townes community for reports of a firearm violation. There, they found an adult male shooting victim suffering from a non-life-threatening injury. He was subsequently taken to VCU Health Center for treatment.
Police detained another man and are continuing to investigate the incident, but they said there was no immediate threat to the public and believe the situation was an isolated one.
