Sheetz lowering gas prices through July 4

Table of Contents

Sheetz is lowering its gas prices through the July 4 holiday, company officials announced Monday.

Effective immediately, the chain is lowering the cost of a gallon of Unleaded 88 gas to $3.99 and E85 (which contains more ethanol and is not compatible with all vehicles) to $3.49 at all of its 349 locations that sell both types of gas, through the holiday.

Unleaded 88 is approved by the EPA for use in vehicles for model years 2001 or newer as well as light-duty trucks, SUVs and flex fuel vehicles. Both Henrico Sheetz locations – at 7035 West Broad Street and 550 South Airport Drive – carry both Unleaded 88 and E85 gasoline, according to the chain.

E85 contains more ethanol (51%-83%) and is not compatible with all vehicles. It is designed specifically for "flexible fuel vehicles" or FFVs. FFVs can use regular gasoline (E10), E15, or E85.
