Sheetz implementing $2-per-hour raise for all employees

Restaurant and convenience store chain Sheetz announced May 10 that it will implement an $2-per-hour raise for all of its 18,000 employees, effective May 21. The permanent increase amounts to a $50-million annual pay increase company-wide and comes on the heels of the company’s $28.5 million wage increase announced in February.

In addition, Sheetz also announced a $12 million investment in a summer stimulus program that will provide store employees an additional $1-per-hour wage increase from May 21 until Sept. 23.

Sheetz recently updated the company’s parental leave policy to include include 12 weeks of fully paid time off for new mothers and two weeks of fully paid time off for partners.

Sheetz operates 621 stores throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, West Virginia and North Carolina and is currently hiring to fill more than 2,000 positions.
