Several Henrico locations accepting unused prescription drugs on National Drug Take Back Day

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, Oct. 29, and there are a number of locations in Henrico that will be collecting medication for proper disposal, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Among them:
• Virginia State Police Division 1 office, 9300 Brook Road, Glen Allen;
• Henrico Public Safety Building, 7721 East Parham Road;
• 1440 North Laburnum Avenue;
• Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, 7606 Forest Avenue.
In 2021, there were more than 107,000 drug overdose deaths in the United States according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – nearly 15% more than in 2020.
