Seven Henrico teams make VHSL football playoffs

Seven Henrico County high school football teams have qualified for the Virginia High School League playoffs. The VHSL announced pairings for its playoffs Nov. 7.
In Class 4, Region B, Varina High School will be the third seed and will host Powhatan High. The Blue Devils are coming off a win against arch rival Highland Springs, 7-6, on Friday.
Despite that loss, the Springers (7-3) will be the top seed in Class 5, Region C and will host 8-seed JR Tucker High (4-4).
Hermitage (8-2) will be the third seed and host sixth-seed Glen Allen (4-5), while fourth-seeded Douglas Freeman (8-2) will host fifth seeded LC Bird of Chesterfield (5-3).
Seventh-seeded Mills Godwin (4-6) will play at second-seeded Midlothian of Chesterfield (6-2).
