The Longevity Project for a Greater Richmond will hold a virtual winter safety event for seniors Jan. 25 from 10 a.m. to noon. The program will include information about how to prepare for a winter storm, tips for driving in winter weather, how to handle a winter weather emergency (presented by the Office of Emergency Management and Workplace Safety), how to weatherize a home for winter (presented by Dominion EnergyShare), and how to handle homeowners or renters insurance after a winter storm incident (presented by the Virginia Bureau of Insurance).

Participants need not be Henrico residents, but space is limited and all participants must register by calling 501-5065 or e-mailing agingadvocate@henrico.us. Those unable to attend the Jan. 25 event can search for "The Longevity Project for a Greater Richmond" on YouTube at a later date.
