Section of Prestwick to be closed weekdays for sewer project

Prestwick Road between Hungary Spring Road and Enterprise Parkway/Prestwick Court will be closed to through-traffic on weekdays, beginning Thursday, June 13, for sewer-system improvements.
The closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The Department of Public Utilities expects the work to be complete and the road to reopen about Friday, July 19.
Residents who live in the affected area will be allowed access to their homes throughout construction.
A detour will direct motorists around the work zone by way of Hungary Spring, West Broad Street, Enterprise, Prestwick and Chowning Road.
