Section of Kingsland Road in Varina closed for bridge inspection

Henrico County’s Department of Public Works has closed Kingsland Road between New Market and Deep Bottom roads for inspection of the bridge over Four Mile Creek. Crews are examining the bridge after floodwaters caused by Tropical Storm Isaias overtopped it Tuesday.
Traffic is being detoured on New Market to Buffin Road before returning to Kingsland.
The section of Kingsland will remain closed until further notice.
