Scott Road bridge over I-95 in Henrico struck; delays expected Thursday

A crash on I-95 has damaged the Scott Road bridge near mile marker 84 and prompted Virginia Department of Transportation officials to close the right southbound lane to repair it. Delays are expected for evening commuters Thursday, officials said.
Once the bridge is secured, and it is safe for traffic to flow beneath it, all lanes on I-95 south will reopen.
All westbound and eastbound lanes of Scott Road near I-95 will remain closed until bridge work is complete. The bridge will remain closed until further notice.
