Scooter's Coffee to open in Short Pump

Scooter's Coffee will open its first location in Virginia with a store in Short Pump. The franchise location will be owned by Ryan Kim.
Kim, who also owns a beauty supply store, said he was looking for other business opportunities when he discovered Scooter's Coffee, a Midwest-based drive-through coffee franchise. The company features a combination of espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries, and the Caramelicious (its signature beverage – a mix of espresso, caramel sauce, frothy hot milk and whipped cream), as well as a variety of other hot and iced beverages.
Kim plans to open 10 Scooter’s locations in the next 10 years and wants to retire with the business.
"His passion for our values and his vision for creating a family-oriented business aligns perfectly with our goals,” said Matt Sawicki, vice president of franchise sales for Scooter’s Coffee. “We are eager to see how his unique approach will introduce Scooter’s Coffee to a new audience in Richmond."
