School physicals for uninsured new elementary students available this month

The Henrico Health Department will offer school entry physicals (for students in kindergarten through fifth grades) at no cost to uninsured Henrico residents at two school readiness events this month.
School-required immunizations will also be provided if needed. Limited appointments are available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days. The events are scheduled for:
• Monday, Aug. 10 at the Henrico East Health Department, 1400 North Laburnum Avenue (call 652-3190 to make an appointment);
• Monday, Aug. 24 at the Henrico West Health Department, 8600 Dixon Powers Drive (call 501-4651 to make an appointment).
Attendees must bring their child’s immunization record, and everyone older than 2 must wear a mask. Only one person may accompany each patient. No sports physicals will be provided.
