Saxon's 'Shoes for the Needy' collection now underway

Table of Contents

The 25th annual Saxon Shoes for the Needy collection to benefit The Salvation Army launched Nov. 1 and will continue through Christmas Eve at Saxon Shoes at Short Pump Town Center and in Fredericksburg at The Village at Spotsylvania Towne Centre. The collected shoes will be presented to The Salvation Army Adult Rehab Center in Richmond and The Salvation Army in Fredericksburg.

"The program has stood the test of time, with so many, opening their closets year after year," said Saxon President Gary Weiner. "And specifically, this year, I can't think of a time where the need for the Salvation Army has been greater. We look forward to seeing the many donors come through our doors and working with all of the great community partners that take the time to coordinate their own group collections for the program. All we can say is thank you!”

Individuals, families, school groups, churches, businesses and other organizations are invited to participate. Groups may register at saxonshoes.com and have the option to receive public recognition by Saxon, as well as promotional materials to help with their collection.
