Run 2 Rebuild Richmond 5k to help fund home repairs for low-income homeowners

River Road United Methodist Church will host its seventh Run 2 Rebuild Richmond Saturday, Sept. 22. to benefit Rebuilding Together Richmond, a nonprofit that unites volunteers to repair the homes of low-income homeowners.

The event will be accompanied by a 5K run/walk, one-mile “Fun Run” and [Re]Fair.

“We are excited to partner with River Road United Methodist Church for the seventh Run 2 Rebuild Richmond,” said Mary Kay Huss, executive director of Rebuilding Together Richmond. “We are grateful for their continued and loyal support in fulfilling our mission of repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives.”

The run/walk will begin at 9 a.m. from the church, located at 8800 River Road in Henrico, and the course will run through the adjacent Sleepy Hollow neighborhood.

To register, visit http://www.Run2Rebuild.com. Pre-registration is available until Sept. 21 at noon. Registration will be available the day of the event beginning at 7:45 a.m. Registration is $25 per participant for adults and $10 for children.

The [Re]Fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. near the start/finish line at River Road United Methodist Church. Various organizations are scheduled to exhibit. The fair is free and open to the public.
