The Riverine chapter, one of 30 chapters in Virginia, describes itself as a "home to an enthusiastic contingent of those from the greater Richmond metro area."

The chapter's master naturalists choose which activities they'd like to involve themselves with, from rebuilding oyster reefs to establishing native gardens, doing “bird counts” to testing water quality, educating about pollinators to setting up new wildlife trails, or creating their own initiatives.
