Richmond International Airport President and Chief Executive Officer Perry Miller assumed the role of chair of the American Association of Airport Executives June 5.

Founded in 1928, AAAE is the world’s largest professional organization representing people who work at public-use commercial and general aviation airports. Other key appointments to the Association’s Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Policy Review Council were also finalized during the 95th Annual AAAE Conference & Exposition in Denver, held June 3-5 and hosted by Denver International Airport.

“AAAE is incredibly fortunate to have such an outstanding slate of airport professionals from across the country who are willing to give of their time and talent to help guide our association forward,” AAAE President and CEO Todd Hauptli said. “They are leaders in every sense of the word, and the recognition they have earned from their peers is a testament to the commitment they have shown to AAAE and the airport profession.”

Miller was one of six Executive Committee members elected by AAAE membership. He succeeds Mark Gale, CEO and director of aviation at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
