Richmond Raceway will host Track Laps for Charity Oct. 16 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., allowing fans to drive five laps around the track for $20. All proceeds will benefit Richmond Raceway Cares (a donor-advised fund of The NASCAR Foundation) and the Autism Society of Central Virginia.

The event also will serve as a collection point for hurricane relief efforts, with donations of bottled water and diapers (child and adult) accepted. Participants and those making donations can enter through the main gate at 600 East Laburnum Avenue.

“We’re pleased to continuously put on our popular Track Laps for Charity events for the Greater Richmond community,” said Richmond Raceway President Lori Collier Waran. “The privilege we share to give back and help support organizations like the Autism Society of Central Virginia is certainly one that we cherish dearly.”

The ASCV, a local nonprofit serving more than 10,000 people annually, provides support, empowerment, and resources for those with autism and their families in Central Virginia.

To participate in Track Laps for Charity, drivers must be 18 years old with a valid driver's license, adhere to Virginia state laws regarding seatbelts and child safety restraints, and follow specific track rules, including a 55 mph speed limit. Only passenger vehicles are permitted.
