Richmond Raceway to host Daytona 500 watch party in Mechanicsville

Richmond Raceway will host its Daytona 500 watch party on Sunday, Feb. 18 at The Great American Ranch in Mechanicsville.

The free event will run from 1:30 p.m. until the checkered flag drops on the inaugural regular season race of the 2024 season. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and attendees will have a chance to win prizes that include tickets to the upcoming Toyota Owners 400 March 31 and ticket upgrades.

“We are thrilled to kick off the start of the 2024 season with our DAYTONA 500 watch party at The Great American Ranch,” said Richmond Raceway President Lori Collier Waran. “This is one of the most iconic events in all of sports. We want to make certain everyone in the Richmond region can join us for a fun and festive celebration.”

Prior to the Easter Day race at Richmond Raceway, the track will host the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour’s Virginia is for Racing Lovers 150 on Friday, March 29, and the NASCAR Xfinity Series’ ToyotaCare 250 on Saturday, March 30.

This summer, Richmond Raceway will host the Cook Out 400 on Sunday, Aug. 11, preceded by the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series regular-season finale on Saturday, Aug. 10.
