A Henrico man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of his wife, a teacher at the Richmond Montessori School in Henrico County.
Henrico Police arrested 53-year-old Michael Louis Barron and charged him with murder after finding the body of his wife, 64-year-old Mui Ung Barron, in the house they shared in the 2300 block of Brookwater Drive in the county’s Far West End Monday morning. Police had responded to the home at about 7 a.m. following a call for service.
They determined that the death was a homicide and quickly charged Barron.
Officials at the Richmond Montessori School on North Parham Road, where Mui Ung Barron was an assistant teacher, wrote in a statement “Our community is heartbroken by this loss and she will be greatly missed. Mui was a kind and dedicated educator, and we will honor her contributions and memories as a community in the weeks to come."
