RIC records second-best month in history

Richmond International Airport recorded its second-best month in its history in October, setting a new October passenger record. More than 382,000 travelers used the airport last month – an increase of nearly 40,000 from October 2017. It was the 13th consecutive month of record passenger traffic at the airport.
Last month, Delta was the passenger share leader; nearly one in three travelers flew the airline. American (31 percent) and United (about 15 percent) were next.
United witnessed the greatest passenger growth last month compared to last October (up nearly 23 percent).
For the calendar year through October, RIC passenger traffic has increased 10.5 percent.
