The Richmond and Henrico Health Districts are now offering in-home COVID-19 vaccinations to anyone in Henrico or Richmond who wants them. The program, called Doses on Demand, began March 23. It's available for adult and child primary series and booster doses and is offering all vaccine types (Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson).

To request that officials come to your home to provide a vaccine, call the RHHD hotline at (804) 205-3501. The program is free and does not require health insurance.

“We previously offered this program for folks who were very ill, elderly, or who had extreme difficulty leaving their house,” said RHHD Public Health Nurse Supervisor Joanna Cirillo. “But now, with lower demand, we’re able to offer more individualized services to everyone and make it as easy as possible for folks to get a vaccine… we hope this helps folks get vaccinated and boosted who might have challenges like transportation, child care, etc.”

Doses on Demand appointments are typically offered about two weeks out from when an individual calls. Those who prefer to be vaccinated sooner can visit any number of local pharmacies or RHHD walk-in clinics, a complete list of which is available at vax.rchd.com or by calling (804) 205-3501.
