Richmond Family Magazine will host its 2023 RFM Education Expo, sponsored by Virginia529, Sunday, Oct. 8, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dewey Gottwald Center at the Science Museum of Virginia, 2301 West Leigh Street in Richmond.

Preschools, private schools, college savings and financial aid planners, extracurricular activities businesses, and other family resources from across Greater Richmond area and beyond will provide area families with information and planning tools related to education at this free family-friendly event.

“Parents have been asking for this kind of education event, where they could tour the tables and meet school and business representatives in one place,” says RFM Founder and Publisher Margaret Thompson. “We created the Education Expo in 2019 to bring area schools and education resources together under one roof and make it easier for busy parents and caregivers. We love the wide range of exhibitors coming to the Expo, from preschools to adult education and everything in between, plus swimming, cooking, art, and performing arts education will be represented, too.”

In addition to the exhibitor tables, the RFM Education Expo includes interactive stations for kids to explore art, cooking, STEM, and music with The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, Victoria’s Kitchen, Virginia Space Flight Academy, and Greater Richmond School of Music.

All Expo visitors will have an opportunity to receive passes for free admission to the Science Museum of Virginia for a future visit, plus, attendees will be entered to win the ultimate door prize: a two-night holiday package at Gaylord National Resort, including tickets to their popular holiday attraction, ICE!, valued at $1,100.
