Resurgence: Phoebus fights back to beat Hopewell 27-7

Phoebus staggered out of the gate but stormed to the finish line in a 27-7 win over Hopewell in a Virginia high school football matchup.

The Phantoms broke in front at the beginning of the fourth quarter with a 14-7 lead over the Blue Devils.

A halftime tie at 7-7 allowed for a respite as both teams looked to regroup in the locker room.

The Blue Devils showed they were ready to play, using an early thrust to carve out a 7-0 advantage over the Phantoms as the first quarter ended.
