Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar, 9601 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: insecticide is incorrectly stored on top of dish machine; shelves in refrigerator next to ice machine are rusty; observed old food debris on shelves in the two units at the fryer end of the cook line; observed encrusted grease on grill and stove; several locations in the kitchen has low grout; mold found on walls and ceiling in the beer walk-in; observed debris on the floor under equipment; observed heavy grease on hood and filters on fryer side of the hood.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, 10501 West Broad Street – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Wendy’s, 2200 East Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed mildew in drive-through ice machine; lights are burned out in walk-in freezer and in hood by the dish area; gasket is torn on walk-in freezer door; observed grime, dust and/or dried food debris on bacon steam wells, walk-in freezer and cooler fans; observed dried food debris and/or grease buildup on walk-in floors, walls, floors of kitchen, and behind and between equipment.

Glenwood Golf Club, 3100 Creighton Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: under the grill is incorrectly lined with newspaper (if needed, use foil).

Rico’s Mexican Grill, 2316 John Rolfe Parkway – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

SEPT. 22

Pho Number 1, 10073 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: spray bottle used for cleaning has 0 ppm sanitizer in it; pho made yesterday in the walk-in cooler is not date marked.

Bonefish Grill, 11251 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: raw poke tuna incorrectly stored beside ready-to-eat pico de gallo in prep top unit; temperature of tempura batter is elevated; container of butane incorrectly stored with food; in-use utensils are stored in water that isn’t hot enough; walk-in cooler and freezer doors are not closing; food processor lid is broken; single-use and prep top cutting boards are deeply scratched and stained; a broken glass bottle of sauce is spilled in storage; observed grease build-up, dried food residue and/or grime on back of monitors, behind and between equipment on the cook line, on walls, and on toilets in customer restrooms.

Costco Wholesale, 9650 West Broad Street – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: clean dishes are being stacked wet on storage rack.

Napoli Pizza, 3324 Pump Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: temperatures of diced chicken and garlic in oil are elevated; container of white powder is unlabeled; caulking is missing at sink.

Chung Hing Chinese Restaurant, 3053 Lauderdale Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sink is blocked by a trash can; raw chicken, raw pork and raw shell eggs incorrectly stored in walk-in and low boy; temperature of fried chicken pieces is elevated because it was left out on the counter; temperature of noodles in the prep top is elevated because they were stacked above the air curtain; person in charge states that fried chicken pieces at the fryer and cabbage on the counter are on a time control policy, but times were not marked; personal medications improperly stored with ingredients in dry storage; observed linens in contact with various foods in the walk-in; many containers of food are stored on the walk-in cooler/freezer floor; plastic grocery bags are in direct contact with foods in the freezer; shelves are lined with soiled cardboard; observed grease build-up on floor under fryers; wall in dry storage room is dirty.

McDonald’s, 11218 West Broad Street – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

El Torito Mexican Restaurant and Grill, 5600 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: raw meat drawer incorrectly stored above raw veggies below the cook top; raw burger and raw tilapia are incorrectly stored in reach-in cooler; reach-in coolers and low boy units do not have sufficient space; observed mouse droppings in outside storage area that is being used as dry storage for food; flour and onions are incorrectly stored on the ground; food product was stored in a non-finished outside storage space that was not clean.
