Panera Bread, 10301 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of lettuce in the salad refrigerator is elevated (unit isn’t working); observed torn gaskets in refrigerated units in the drive-through area; ceiling tiles above the prep line are dusty; observed food build-up behind units on the make line and behind pipes on the dish machine.

SEPT. 3

Town’s Best Wings & Pizza, 5401 Glenside Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: bulk bins and sauce bottles are unlabeled; observed heavy ice build-up inside front dessert case; leak found under three-compartment sink basin.

Cater 2 Events LLC – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: person in charge failed to wash hands before putting on gloves and beginning food prep after entering the kitchen from outside; observed food residue on several food peelers in drawer; temperature of large bowl of potato salad made eight hours earlier is elevated.

Empanadas Market, 1110 Westbriar Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: two spray bottles of sanitizer in the kitchen are unlabeled; empanadas in the reach-in freezer are not wrapped/covered; cutting boards are heavily scratched and discolored.

Tony’s Italian Restaurant, 3409 Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed an employee drinking coffee out of an open mug while preparing food; two containers of onions are incorrectly stacked directly on the lettuce in the sandwich unit; shelves in the walk-in cooler are rusty; observed grease on the hood vents; there is a hole in the wall near the slicer.

McDonald’s, 9751 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: raw ground beef incorrectly stored above lettuce and cheese in small refrigerator; observed mold on drink dispensers and inside the ice machine; temperature of creamer for coffee is elevated; observed several torn gaskets; fryer under the grill is greasy.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, 1070 Virginia Center Parkway – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: several stacked pans on the prep table ready to be used were dirty and greasy; spray bottle incorrectly stored on a shelf directly above uncovered chips; cleaned pans are stacked while still wet; prep refrigerated units on the service line have torn gaskets; observed low grout around drain and tiles in the sink area; coving tiles are pulling away from the wall next to the fryer; observed mold and food on the walls in the dishwashing area.

Takara Ramen, 9468 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: an employee’s open drink can is incorrectly stored on dry storage shelf above beverages; employees are washing hands at front prep sink and three-compartment sink instead of using hand sink; observed an employee not washing hands before donning new gloves after handling raw meat; observed an employee quickly rinsing hands without using soap; back hand sink doesn’t have soap or paper towels; front hand sink doesn’t have hand wash signage; raw beef incorrectly stored over uncovered lettuce in the reach-in; less than 10 ppm chlorine sanitizer detected at the dish machine; pink slime found in ice machine; ladles and tongs on clean storage rack are soiled with food; employee washed food storage container but did not sanitize it; rice in warmer is at an incorrect temperature; temperature of noodles left out on the cook line is elevated; time control is being used for breading flour, chicken wings, cut cabbage and corn bean sprouts but person in charge doesn’t have a written policy and none of the foods were marked with a discard time; two chemical spray bottles are unlabeled; first-aid antiseptic incorrectly stored with food; temperatures of cooked tofu, cooked chicken in a large bowl and soft-boiled eggs are elevated because they were not cooled properly; facility is serving imitation crab but the menu does not say this; food incorrectly stored on floor in walk-ins; soiled cloth sitting out on counter at cook line; scoop used for bulk flour is a cup (needs a handle); cutting boards are scratched and discolored; observed a block of wood under the dish machine to support pipes; wood at cook line is unsealed; observed build-up of grease on equipment at cook line; a hose connected at the three-compartment sink is under pressure without a backflow prevention device; floor drain was backed up upon arrival for inspection (an employee was mopping the floor because sewage had backed up onto the floor); caulking at three-compartment sink is moldy; tiles in the kitchen are cracked and damaged; observed food splatter on wall at cook line and food debris on floor at walk-ins; fan grate in walk-in is dusty; hood filters have heavy grease build-up.

Keto Chef To Go, 1160-1162 Wilkinson Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: observed dried food debris on several scoops.

Torque Club at Richmond International Raceway, 600 East Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of brisket in walk-in cooler that had been cooling for two hours is elevated; light bulbs are burned out in hood system and over prep area; dicer in storage is in disrepair.
