TGI Friday’s, 4459 S. Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: back hand sink is blocked by a trash can; front hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; temperatures are elevated for ribs in walk-in, marinara and shredded cheese on cook line, raw chicken and raw steak in drawer, cooked onion in reach-in, sliced tomatoes on prep top unit, cooked ribs and beyond burger; date marking stickers had today’s date but the items were prepared yesterday; observed wet wiping cloth out on shelf; reach-in unit with meat has torn gaskets and the drawer containing raw salmon and sliced cheese is broken; walk-in cooler containing drinks has leak; lights are out under the hood; floor in dry storage is dirty; observed dust and mold on ceiling vents in dry storage and above back door.

Burma, 11216 Patterson Avenue – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

Lulabelle’s Café & Catering, 2012 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed grime build-up inside ice machine; chicken salad made the previous day doesn’t have a date mark; observed quiches improperly cooling at room temperature; observed a slow leak at the small three-compartment sink; light bulbs in storage area are burnt out.

AUG. 9

Qdoba, 11282 W. Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: found an employee’s bottle of soda incorrectly stored in the ice machine; racks in the dish area are rusty; walk-in fan guards are dirty; observed a leak under the back hand sink near prep area; floors under the cookline and under the prep sink are dirty.

Five Guys Burgers & Fries, 12210 W. Broad Street – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: back hand sink doesn’t have paper towels.

King Crab, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: menu states catfish but swai is in the freezer; bulk containers of white powders are unlabeled; observed shipping film on drip tray and front of fryers.

AUG. 11

Chick-fil-A at Short Pump Crossing, 3380 Pump Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed debris on shelves in back kitchen; floor drain at three-compartment sink is dirty; wall around three-compartment sink has mildew build-up.

The Pit and the Peel, 11800 W. Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: back hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; front hand sink has a pitcher in it (hand sinks are for handwashing only); three-compartment sink was improperly set up with a low concentration of sanitizer; temperatures of rice and quinoa made yesterday in the back prep unit are elevated because they were not cooled properly; temperature of spinach and kale in the upright, open refrigerator are elevated (unit needs repairing); utensils found in standing water in front prep area; take-out containers and bowls throughout the facility are not stored inverted; cutting boards are scratched and stained; soft-serve machines and surrounding areas are dirty; observed old food debris in all refrigerators; ice machine has a leak.

Aloft Hotel, 3939 Duckling Drive – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: facility does not have written procedures for cleanup of vomit or diarrhea; temperature of milk in grab-and-go case is elevated (unit needs repairing); observed food debris on fryer baskets.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, 11728 W. Broad Street – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

AUG. 12

Arby’s, 5220 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: women’s restroom does not have signage at the hand sink; temperatures of pico de gallo, provolone and cooked chicken are elevated; salads prepped this morning were placed in the display unit without cooling properly; improper thawing method used for cooked sliced chicken; observed small flies in back of kitchen; observed two chipped knives above the prep sink; floors in walk-in cooler and throughout the kitchen are dirty.

Anthony’s Italian Pizza, 4000 Mechanicsville Turnpike – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility does not employ a certified food protection manager; observed an employee handle raw meat, then other foods without washing hands between tasks; dish machine plate temperature does not meet requirement; temperatures of shredded cheese, ground beef, ham, shredded lettuce and sliced tomato are elevated; prep top sandwich unit and pizza refrigerator unit are not keeping foods cool enough; no date marks found on portioned pasta in freezer or refrigerator; observed large gaps in hood filters; facility does not have an irreversible thermometer for the high temp dish machine; facility does not have a three-compartment sink; observed dust and grime build-up on shelves and fan in walk-in cooler; lids of dumpster and grease receptacle are open; floor tiles are chipped; observed a broken light shield by the pizza oven; ceiling in pizza area is not smooth and easily cleanable.
