Les Crepes, 1308 Gaskins Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility does not have parasite destruction records from salmon provider; lemon zester is dirty; slicer is soiled; food inside make table has elevated temperatures; no date marks found on lamb, brie, eggplant, seafood sauce and onion soup; alfredo and curry sauce are past their expiration dates; oils and crystals are unlabeled; handsink extends over the prep sink causing possible contamination to food prep area; observed ice scoop laying in ice; shipping film is still on the crepe maker under hood; ice cream freezer cart is bare wood and needs sealing; interior of dish machine, floor under dish area, corner of three-compartment sink and wall storing utensils by ice cream freezer are dirty; drip trays, spray hose attachment, pan used for soup crocks, can opener holder and soda gun holsters are soiled; coving is falling off the wall; bare wood is exposed in keg shed; observed open seams in shed.

Jersey Mike’s Subs, 1420 N. Parham Road – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

JUNE 4

Kee Kee’s Place for Taste, 2709 Williamsburg Road – The following violation was reported during a follow-up inspection: floors need more cleaning.

“The Original” Ronnie’s BBQ, 2097 New Market Road – The following violation was reported during a follow-up inspection: only sauce in the walk-in cooler was date marked (missing dates on mac n cheese, cooked BBQ, collard greens, etc.).

King’s Wok, 5223 S. Laburnum Avenue – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

Portabella’s Restaurant, 2627 New Market Road – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

Subway at Fas Mart, 2650 New Market Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: racks across from three-compartment sink are rusty; observed ice build-up in walk-in freezer; fan in walk-in cooler is dusty.

JUNE 7

Sushi Hibachi Bistro, 10490 Ridgefield Parkway – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed an employee washing hands in three-compartment sink (use handsink); facility could not provide parasite destruction records from one of their salmon providers; temperature of white rice in hot-holding pot is too low; temperatures of cooked beef and raw steak in reach-in, imitation crab in prep unit, and white rice in reach-in cooler are elevated; observed rice scoop laying in rice in bulk bin; observed ice scoop laying in ice in sushi area; plates in sushi area are not being stored inverted; observed grease build-up on pipe and rack next to fryer; mop water is being dumped out onto concrete behind the facility; grease receptacle at the back of the restaurant is covered in grease build-up; three lights are out in the kitchen.

Mi Jalisco, 10482 Ridgefield Parkway – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility could not provide a food protection manager certificate; person in charge was not able to identify the “big six” foodborne illnesses and their associated symptoms; raw bacon incorrectly stored next to mushrooms and peppers; raw steak incorrectly stored next to sliced tomatoes; raw chorizo, shrimp and scallops stored uncovered next to cut veggies; ice machine is dirty; temperatures of tomatillo salsa, chopped tomatoes, lettuce, chorizo, raw shrimp and sliced tomatoes are elevated; no date marks found on big salsa containers in walk-in cooler; sticky fly traps hanging from the ceiling in the kitchen are full and need to be changed; wet wiping cloths at bar area are being stored in water and soap mixture instead of a water and bleach solution; plates and to-go trays are not stored inverted; storage bins on rack near dish machine were stacked wet; prep unit at the end of the cookline is not keeping food at the proper temperature; facility does not have test strips for bleach sanitizer; food debris found on equipment and on shelf on cookline; top of chip buckets are dirty; floor is greasy.

JUNE 8

Panera Bread, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperatures of roasted turkey on the line and smoked chicken in the walk-in are elevated; baking carts and soda station drip tray area are dirty; baking trays have build-up; observed leak from pipes near carbonator/mopsink; coffee area sink is deteriorating; fan grills inside bakery walk-in, dishroom lower wall, lower wall of two-compartment sink area, wall by carbon dioxide tank, floor and drain by the coffee area need cleaning; excess glue found on wall by the dish machine; lights above bread display do not have protective shields.
