Avalon Recreation Association, 510 Heathfield Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed black residue on interior of ice machine; popcorn machine has a cracked door.

Bright Horizons at Short Pump, 120 Towne Center West Boulevard – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: shelf above the three-compartment sink is dusty.

Kroger, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: chicken station is dirty; temperatures of wings and chicken in the display cabinet are too low; no thermometer found in four-door unit; plastic film found on interior of small cabinet; fryer has a broken electric panel; fryer cabinets and wheels and raw chicken cart are dirty; interior of dish machine has build-up; observed leak from hose attached to the dish machine; floor behind dish machine and behind combo oven are dirty; ceiling panels above the dish area are in disrepair.

King’s Wok, 5223 S. Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: person in charge did not know how to properly fill sanitizer in three-compartment sink and could not identify symptoms of the “big six” reportable food borne illnesses; person in charge and an employee both put hands in bucket of raw chicken and did not wash hands before touching multiple items throughout the kitchen; two handsinks are obstructed; raw foods are not covered or separated from ready-to-eat foods in the walk-in cooler or prep units; temperature of fried rice in large bowl is too low; temperatures of rice noodles soaking in water and thawing raw chicken are elevated; observed personal items on dry storage shelves (toothbrush and toothpaste) and on top of slicer (vitamin C supplements); temperatures of chicken sitting on racks in kitchen and noodles in low boy are elevated because they were not cooled properly; multiple small containers of white powders on cookline and in dry storage are unlabeled; menu says scallops but the packaging states it is white fish with scallop flavoring; observed a linen cloth on top of fried rice; knives incorrectly stored in between prep surfaces; observed cut milk jugs being re-used as scoops and bottles of dye being used to hold vinegar; observed build-up on gaskets of low boy and racks in walk-in; box fan is dusty.

Jason’s Deli, 1700 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: ice chutes on the service line have slime; observed food debris on lettuce spinner and evaporator tray inside low boy; temperature of whole boiled eggs is elevated; opened package of cream cheese does not have a date and the wrong date was listed on chicken; consumer advisory does not satisfy “disclosure” adequately; no thermometer located inside low boy on end of line; unprotected coffee filters and gloves found stored under sewer line up front; display case filter is dusty; walk-in freezer floor has trash and dirt build-up.

Country Style Donuts, 4300 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of half-and-half in glass door reach-in cooler is elevated; bleach containers incorrectly stored on top of single-service cups; door of proofer is in poor repair; glass door reach-in cooler has broken gasket, the door doesn’t close properly and it is not holding temperature on the bottom; facility could not provide bleach test strips; racks are dirty and covered in icing; sides of equipment in back kitchen are dirty; mixers covered in flour build-up and food debris; sides of fryer are covered in heavy grease build-up; mop water is being incorrectly dumped in toilets because there isn’t a mop sink; outdoor area outside of back door is cluttered with trash and unnecessary items; observed low grouting in back kitchen; ceiling tiles are soiled beyond cleaning in back kitchen and in women’s restroom; walls in kitchen, under fryers and under three-compartment sink are covered in grease and debris; door to outside back area is covered in food debris and grime; hood filters above fryer are dusty and dirty.

China King Chinese Restaurant, 4362 S. Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility does not have a certified food protection manager; moldy Roma tomatoes found in walk-in cooler; can heavily dented at the seam; black mold found on bucket containing tofu in the walk-in cooler; temperature of fried rice is too low because it was left out; temperatures of raw shrimp, raw chicken, noodles and rice noodles in prep unit are elevated; several bottles of cleaner throughout the kitchen are unlabeled; white powders on the cookline are unlabeled; broccoli incorrectly stored on floor of kitchen and raw chicken incorrectly stored on floor of walk-in; plastic grocery bags and old peanut butter containers are being re-used to store raw meat; observed heavy ice build-up in back reach-in freezers; low boy unit has torn gaskets; observed build-up on shelves of units in dry storage; observed food and grease build-up in low boy unit and on cooktop and woks; ceiling tiles and back door are dusty; fans in walk-in need cleaning.

Rackets Grill, 1703 Raintree Drive – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: containers of salt, sugar and cinnamon are unlabeled.

Canterbury Recreation Association, 1300 Pump Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility does not have a certified food protection manager; floor in corner has debris.

Waffle House, 5414 Williamsburg Road – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.
