Portabella’s Restaurant, 2627 New Market Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: observed handwashing in the three-compartment sink instead of in the handsink; raw chicken incorrectly stored uncovered next to cooked cheese steak in sandwich prep low boy unit; raw eggs incorrectly stored over white cheese sauce in sandwich unit; temperatures of ham, sliced turkey, feta blocks and garlic in oil are elevated; onions incorrectly stored on the floor of walk-in; single-service items stored uninverted; pizza and sandwich units have torn gaskets.

Trak’s Gyro & Burgers, 9115 Quioccasin Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no certified food protection manager was present; facility does not have a procedure in place for cleaning vomit or diarrhea; can opener is dirty; temperature of cheese sauce is too low; temperatures of feta and turkey are elevated; no dates found on any foods (roast beef, hummus, spaghetti, cheesecakes, sausage); box of liquid fuel incorrectly stored on top the sugar bin; rear door is not self-closing; food containers are being reused for other food items (ripe olives found in a jalapeno pepper container); lights are burned out in the service area; white wooden French fry cart is no longer smooth and easily cleanable; interior of freezer is soiled; bathrooms are accessible to patrons only through service area where drinks are prepared; observed torn wallpaper in several areas in the service area; some ceiling tiles are stained; holes found in wall near three-compartment sink; observed exposed spray foam along lower wall in dish area; wall above three-compartment sink is no longer smooth and easily cleanable; ceiling panels in the service area are not smooth and easily cleanable.

West Tower Cinemas 10, 8998 W. Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no certified food protection manager was present; handsink is out of paper towels; quat sanitizer at three-compartment sink is reading over 400 ppm; grate is missing from the ceiling in storage room with ice machine.

Zaxby’s, 4798 S. Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: one light is out under the hood; handsinks in both restrooms have very low water pressure; mop is not hanging up to air dry.

Dominion Club, 6000 Dominion Club Drive – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: facility could not provide proof of a certified food protection manager; observed pink slime inside the ice machine behind kick plate; opened unsliced portions of deli meat are not date marked; TrueFreezer has a torn gasket; floor is worn in front of cook line; some ceiling tiles throughout the kitchen are discolored.

Little Caesars, 1547 N. Parham Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility could not provide proof of a certified food protection manager; can opener is dirty; temperature of sauce is elevated because it was not made properly; no dates found on wings or mozzarella balls; time control policy is not being applied to tuna on pizzas; no labels found on parmesan, cheese or flour; bug light incorrectly placed above dishes; dough rounder is not working; interior of self-service cabinet, dough press edges, can opener holder, exterior of dough mixer, lower shelves, oven catch trays and filters to oven need cleaning; front handsink is leaking; back handsink has a rag around the pipe; mopsink, prep table wall, walk-in door, walk-in floor, wall behind pizza cutter, three-compartment sink wall, floor around three-compartment sink drain, and all floor edges need cleaning.

China Panda, 8970 Quioccasin Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: person in charge does not know about temperature control or how to fully dismantle the slicer in order to clean; handsink is blocked by floor marinator; raw eggs incorrectly stored over cooked wontons in lower make table; raw meats incorrectly stored over sauces in walk-in; can opener and holder need cleaning; observed old food debris on slicer and encrusted debris on marinator; cutting boards have mildew; observed incorrect temperatures of rice, egg rolls, wings, General Tso’s, shrimp, and mock chicken; no dates found on any foods (chicken, noodles, shrimp, egg rolls, wings, roast pork, ribs, wontons, etc.); cleaner is commercial sprayer is unlabeled; facility does not have a metal-stemmed thermometer; dry bins of corn starch, flour and sugar are unlabeled; cardboard containers are being reused for condiment cup storage; plastic containers are being reused for multiple foods; observed bare wood on supports and shelves; soda crates are being used as permanent shelving in the freezer; shelf under prep table, fryer cabinets, hood filters and reach-in door need cleaning; floor of cookline is dirty and greasy to floor edge; wall in restroom is in disrepair.

Sweets By Keet, 10861 W. Broad Street – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: observed raw wood under the grease trap.

Zara Grill, 10865 W. Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: rice pudding in the display case is not date marked; metal banded paint brush is being used for melted butter; floor under fryers is greasy.

Panera Bread, 9960 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed light shining through bottom of back door; two employees are wearing beaded bracelets while prepping food; racks near soup well and ceilings are dusty; racks near bread area are dirty with crumbs; observed low grouting on floors; mop is not hanging up to air dry.
