Poke Sushi Bowl, 6992 Forest Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no person in charge present at time of inspection; facility does not have a certified food protection manager; observed employee in back drinking from an open can; back handsink does not have soap or towels; facility does not have parasite destruction records from salmon provider; raw salmon incorrectly stored above peppers and onions; food equipment is not being sanitized (no sanitizer in three-compartment sink and none on the premises); temperature of crab is elevated; no dates found on any ready-to-eat foods; soap incorrectly stored over sugar; rice scoop handles found lying in rice; boxes of single-service items incorrectly stored on the floor; milk crates are being used to store bags of food; observed cardboard on shelf and on wall above three-compartment sink; prep sink floor drain and floor beside back handsink are dirty.

Marco’s Pizza, 7000 Forest Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: raw shell eggs incorrectly stored above sauces in reach-in; can opener is soiled; temperature of spinach is elevated; observed small flies in the back; lid to dough bowl is cracked; reach-in interior has old spillage; mildew is going along wall behind three-compartment sink.

Dave & Buster’s, 4001 Brownstone Boulevard – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

Franco’s Italian Restaurant, 9010 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: raw eggs incorrectly stored over butter and cooked sausage in the walk-in; temperatures of lasagna and spaghetti in the pasta prep unit are elevated; cutting board at pasta unit is stained and scratched; sides of cookline equipment are dirty; observed an open hole in the wall behind the dish washer; floor under cookline is dirty.

“The Original” Ronnie’s BBQ, 2097 New Market Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of whole brisket in the walk-in cooler is elevated; no dates found on any items in the walk-in cooler or reach-in freezer; three cleaning bottles are unlabeled; wood wall behind the slicer is not smooth and cleanable; fan in the walk-in cooler is leaking; several ceiling tiles are missing in the dry storage area and near walk-in cooler; light is out in the dish room; lights in the dish area are dusty; light in the dish area is missing protective shielding.

Portabella’s Restaurant, 2627 New Market Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: raw eggs incorrectly stored over ready-to-eat food in walk-in cooler; raw chicken incorrectly stored uncovered next to cooked uncovered cheesesteak in cookline lowboy; temperatures of sliced ham and feta blocks in prep unit on the cookline are elevated; temperatures of shredded mozzarella, garlic in oil, and cooked chicken in lowboy on the prep unit are elevated; temperatures of lettuce, sausage and bacon are elevated; sanitizer bottle near three-compartment sink is unlabeled; spaghetti noodles were being strained and cooled in the three-compartment sink while dishes were being cleaned with soap in the next basin; onions incorrectly stored on floor in walk-in cooler; single-service trays stored uninverted on shelf; pizza prep unit and sandwich prep unit have torn gaskets; racks in walk-in cooler are rusty; ceiling tiles in pizza oven room are stained beyond cleaning and need to be replaced; ceiling tiles in back kitchen are soiled and not easily cleanable.

California Pizza Kitchen, 11800 W. Broad Street – The following violation was reported during a follow-up inspection: cutting boards are heavily scratched.

Padow’s Hams & Deli, 4120-C Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed utensils with debris on them in bins under the prep table; bottom of pizza unit has cheese on it; gasket at the deli case has debris; rack above the prep table is sticky; hood filters over cookline have grease and dust.

Cava Grill Short Pump, 11780 W. Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: lamb meatballs on the line and roasted veggies under a heat lamp are not holding at 135 degrees; temperature of salad greens (spinach, arugula, etc.) is elevated; observed grease build-up on casters under the fryers; observed debris under the cookline.

Cheeburger Cheeburger/Sam Adams, Richmond International Airport, Concourse B – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: soda nozzles in the bar area are dirty; dish machine in bar area is not working; freezer and one door to the reach-in cooler have torn gaskets; racks in bar area and dry storage are dirty; light is out under the hood.
