Christian’s Pizza, 7003-A Three Chopt Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of marinara reheating in steam well is too low; marinara was left out at room temperature overnight; temperature of cheese in prep top unit on the line is elevated; cutting boards in back kitchen are heavily scratched; reach-in freezer in back kitchen has torn gasket; observed food debris on back of slicer on rack next to three-compartment sink, on top of and under grill, on hood filters and pipes in back kitchen, outside of mixer, on racks and shelves throughout, on bottom of reach-in freezer and in between gaskets on low boy unit; both handsinks in kitchen are slow to drain; observed debris on floors, walls and ceiling throughout; observed low grouting on floors throughout.

Coal Pit Learning Center, 5101 Francistown Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility does not have a certified food protection manager; observed mouse droppings under three-compartment sink; facility does not have chlorine test strips for sanitizing.

Pizza Hut, 9020-B Quioccasin Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed food debris on ladles on prep table and on pizza topping ring; temperature of mozzarella sticks on prep table is elevated; hand sanitizer bottles improperly stored above pizza boxes; observed wet nesting of plastic bins on storage shelf near walk-in cooler; air temperature of reach-in cooler on cookline is elevated (unit not working properly); observed dust and grease on racks in walk-in cooler and throughout; observed grease and debris on sides of equipment throughout, outside of equipment containers outside of walk-in cooler, on bottoms of freezers, on shelves throughout, and on top of dish machine; observed food debris on bottom of pizza oven; employee bathroom door left open not during cleaning; walls have chipping paint and stains; ceiling tile and floor tile are broken; observed debris on floor under equipment on cookline and near fryer; ceiling vents and hood filters over pizza oven are dusty; grease found on hood filter up front on fryer.

Henrico Doctors’ Hospital-Forest, 1602 Skipwith Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: observed multiple small flies on ceiling in back salad and dessert prep area; utensils stored uninverted on rack in back service station area; cutting boards throughout back kitchen are heavily scratched; gaskets are not fitted properly to hot box near grill station; racks in reach-in unit and in walk-in cooler are rusty; ice accumulation found on pipes in walk-in freezer; torn gaskets on hot box and reach-in units in/near patient tray and grill station line; observed leak under three-compartment sink on pipes and on all faucets in prep area; did not observe cold water at handsink in back salad and dessert prep area; walls throughout have chipping paint; observed low grouting on floors in walk-in cooler; ceiling tile is missing in mopsink room.

Spring Arbor Richmond Cottage, 10601 Barbara Lane – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Deep Run Roadhouse, 12379 Gayton Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: handsink is missing soap; no signage posted at new handsink; fuel incorrectly stored with equipment; grease barrel and dumpster found on gravel/dirt (should be stored on concrete or asphalt); ceiling in storeroom is not smooth and cleanable.

Springhill Suites-Richmond Northwest, 9960 Independence Park Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed small flies on wall by the dish machine; coffee filters are uncovered; parchment paper found on floor; cabinet drawers are in poor repair; coffee brewer is being leveled with a paper towel; interior of microwave is soiled; coffee counter and shelf need cleaning.

Cupertino’s, 3621-A Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: not enough sanitizer in three-compartment sink; “grease lift” incorrectly stored above brown sugar; coffee filters are uncovered; temperature of chicken salad cooling in covered plastic container is elevated; small mixer splash area, fryer cabinet interior door and floor fan need cleaning; spring hose attached to the faucet is without a proper backflow device; faucet by oven is leaky; grate is missing in mopsink; women’s restroom is missing a covered trash can; ceiling vents near rear door, floor under fryer, walk-in condenser area and oven wall need cleaning; lights are missing shields.
