Zero’s, 3073 Lauderdale Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: leak detected under the three-compartment sink; ceiling panels to the right of hood system are soiled; hood filters above flat top grill side are dirty.

Gogi Bibimbap, 8902-A W. Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: squeeze bottles and spices throughout the kitchen are unlabeled; single-service items in the kitchen and drink area are stored uninverted; observed heavy build-up of ice in stand-up freezer; observed rust on top of chest freezer and rusty racks in the dish area; a brush with metal is being used; observed grease build-up on sides of fryers and grill, and a heavy build-up on fryer baskets and gaskets of units; observed mold build-up on racks in walk-in cooler.

DeFazio’s Catering, 2601 Tuckernuck Drive – The following violation was reported during a follow-up inspection: observed no paper towels at the handsink.

Fu Jian Chinese Restaurant, 9720 Gayton Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: raw chicken and eggs incorrectly stored on shelves above cooked chicken and other ready-to-eat foods; no dates found on wontons, noodles, General Tso’s chicken, tofu and sweet sour chicken; bins of salt, sugar, cornstarch, baking soda and MSG are unlabeled; food is being incorrectly stored on the floor; observed uncovered food in the walk-in; cardboard is being used for shelving and to store egg rolls; three-compartment sink and exterior of freezers are dirty; hood filters have grease drips.

La Herradura, 8709 Shrader Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility was unable to locate the certified food protection manager certificate; container of raw steak incorrectly stored over prepared foods in the reach-in unit; prepped foods in the reach-in cooler don’t have date marks; cooked rice incorrectly cooling in a sealed container; multiple frozen foods incorrectly left out on the counter to thaw; observed grill utensils stored in standing water; kitchen ceiling is not smooth.

Texas Roadhouse, 10075 Jeb Stuart Parkway – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed multiple open drinks on top of units and stored in units with food; temperature of hot water at server handsink and handsink on the cookline is too low; observed prime rib being served before reaching proper temperature; temperatures of chicken, steak, burgers, salmon and rice are elevated; lettuce unit is leaking water into open prep unit; did not observe a thermometer in front steak unit or drawers along the cookline; observed a vase of dead flowers in walk-in stored with an open container of meat and next to the meat trimming station; knives incorrectly stored in between prep surfaces; handles of handsink on cookline are in disrepair; observed ice build-up in multiple units and standing water in units on front service line; facility does not have a test kit for sanitizer at three-compartment sink; leak detected in faucet by breading making station which is causing standing water; leak detected at three-compartment sink and dish machine; observed heavy food build-up in drains in dish area; found standing water in multiple places throughout facility; observed food debris under units; observed low grouting and cracked ceiling tiles throughout the facility and in walk-in; observed black and pink mold on ceiling tiles by dish machine; observed chipping paint in walk-in.

Firehouse Subs, 8191-A Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: deli meat cut yesterday had today’s date on the bin; interior of freezer is in poor condition; observed debris in mopsink and on floor beside reach-in; floor around ice machine and floor under three-compartment sink are dirty.

Sumo Sushi Express, 1090 Virginia Center Parkway – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no dates found on ready-to-eat foods (sea legs, tuna, shrimp, gyozo, tempura shrimp); menu does not indicate “raw” clearly; shelf has mildew.

Frida’s Mexican Restaurant, 910 E. Parham Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: interior of ice machine is dirty; queso was not properly reheated before being placed on steam table; ground beef was not cooled properly and had an elevated temperature; no date marks found on any food (beans, rellenos, pico, salsa, chicken, etc.); no disclosure found on menu for steaks or huevos; chlorine and blue soap are unlabeled; light in hood is burned out; new sanitizer found on premises but no test kit available; spray hose extends below flood line of sink; walk-in ceiling is very dirty; wall tile around walk-in is in poor condition; grease drips found in hood; there is inadequate lighting in the walk-in.
