Mexico Restaurant, 5213 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed open cups of water by hot holding units and prep sink; handwash signage is missing at bar handsink; observed sponges in back handsink (only to be used for handwashing); front handsink is blocked; observed multiple prepped items in two door reach-in and one door low boy uncovered; knives at bar and in kitchen are incorrectly stored between prep surfaces; observed rusty racks, torn gaskets in two door reach-in and handsink coming off the wall; build-up of old food and/or other debris found in bins storing utensils and on gaskets on cookline, including drawers; did not observe a covered trashcan in the women’s bathroom; wall is coming apart behind back handsink and by doors leading to the storage and dining room; observed chipping paint in serving area, and low grouting and cracked floor tiles throughout the kitchen; old food and grime build-up found in cups and other utensils behind equipment; observed a container of old water behind the ice machine.

Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches, 4420 S. Laburnum Avenue – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar, 4300-A Pouncey Tract Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: spray bottles of cleaning chemicals are unlabeled; observed several small flies in the bar area; cutting boards are heavily scratched and discolored; observed mold and debris on storage racks in the walk-in refrigerators.

Apple Spice Junction, 1504 E. Parham Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: white bins of flour, yeast and sugar are unlabeled; observed torn gaskets on three door reach-in and low boy unit; cutting boards throughout the facility are heavily scratched and stained; did not observe test strips for three-compartment sink or sani buckets.

Skipwith Academy, 7344 Townes Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: observed torn gaskets on both reach-in refrigeration units in the kitchen.

Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital, 5801 Bremo Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: final rinse temperature of high temperature dish machine is not within the correct limits; observed two scoops with food debris greater than one day old in the bakery area; observed mold on ice dispensers at service station in back kitchen and in front of house; observed build-up in tea nozzle at service station in back kitchen; temperature of sliced cheese at hot holding station near service stations in back kitchen is elevated; not all food items on salad buffet line (egg rolls, popcorn shrimp, corn) are listed on time control policy; temperatures of tomatoes and liquid eggs in reach-in unit are elevated; proper cooling methods not being followed for soup, pasta, corned beef hash, sausage gravy and cut melon (all are covered with saran wrap, making their temperatures elevated); observed no label for some of the to-go items at salad bar in front of house; observed wet nesting of pans in prep area in back kitchen; to-go trays on cookline at grill station in front of house are stored uninverted; cutting boards in prep area are heavily scratched; gap greater than one inch found on hood filters; air temperature of refrigerated drawer on cookline is elevated; walk-in cooler has torn gasket; light bulb is out at hood system in back kitchen; pipes under prep sink in back kitchen are dusty; observed debris on shelves, in between equipment, under fryers, under grill on cookline and under convection oven in front of house; observed debris on racks and shelves throughout back kitchen; observed debris/dust on racks, weight scales and shelves in bakery section in back kitchen; prep sink faucet in back kitchen is leaking; handsink next to milk walk-in cooler is slow to drain; observed stains on ceiling in dish room and on walls under prep sink in back kitchen; fan guards in all walk-in coolers are dusty; observed debris on floor under equipment throughout back kitchen, and grease and debris on floor under fryers; dust and debris found on floor under all equipment in hot food station in front of house; observed debris on floors and stains on walls in dry storage room in bakery section; paint is chipping on wall in handsink room and on walls throughout the back kitchen; low grouting found on floors, in grill area and in deli area in front of house; cracked floor tiles found at hot food station in front of house and throughout back kitchen; holes found in walls in prep area in back kitchen.
