Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: observed 0 ppm of sanitizer when tested (needs to be 50-200 ppm); temperatures of sausage and corn in hot holding units are elevated; facility could not provide a chlorine test kit for the three-compartment sink.

Skrimp Shack, 7510 W. Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: spray bottles at chemical rack are unlabeled (appeared worn off); observed cardboard lining the bottom shelf in walk-in cooler and bottom of the dish rack.

Greek Cuisine, 11214 Patterson Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility does not have a certified food protection manager; green beans and sauce were not properly reheated before being placed on the steam table; moussaka and spaghetti noodles made yesterday were not cooled to 41 degrees within the proper time frames; floor around the water heater is soiled; insufficient light in the storeroom.

Short Pump Pour House, 3438 Pump Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: food temperatures inside meat unit are inconsistent; ribs, mac and cheese and potato salad are past their expiration dates; container of salt is unlabeled; copper cups are unlined; milk crates incorrectly used as permanent shelving; shield inside ice machine is cracked; double boiler pot is pitted; lid to meat unit is falling apart; interior of top oven, shelf under the toaster table, and floor under the fryers need cleaning.

Papa John’s Pizza, 9038 W. Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: back handsink is missing paper towels; observed chemical spray bottles being stored hanging up against open prep unit; observed plastic containers stored wet.

Bistro 804, 443 N. Ridge Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility does not have a certified food protection manager certificate; raw ground beef incorrectly stored over ready-to-eat food and raw chicken incorrectly stored next to ready-to-eat foods in the reach-in unit; observed debris greater than one day old on slicer in downstairs prep room; temperature of half-and-half in reach-in unit in service station is elevated; air temperature of unit is elevated; temperatures of lettuce, spinach and deli meats in prep top unit are elevated; temperatures of raw chicken and raw shrimp in low boy unit are elevated; did not observe an asterisk on eggs for breakfast menu and on consumer advisory for to-go menus; salmon found thawing for three days inside its ROP packaging in low boy unit on the cookline; beer incorrectly stored on walk-in cooler floor; oil boxes incorrectly stored on kitchen floor; observed wet nesting of pans at three-compartment sink in kitchen; observed uninverted spoons next to mayo jar in kitchen and uninverted to-go trays near the cookline; debris found on single service tray and cups in prep area room downstairs; lightbulb not working in the kitchen; observed gap greater than one inch on hood on cookline; low boy units on cookline have torn gaskets; air temperatures of unit on service line and low boy unit on cookline are elevated; observed oil on bottom of metal bowls on rack in prep area room downstairs; debris found on racks throughout the facility, next to tea nozzle near handsink, in gun nozzle holder, in Moscow mule cup at bar area, on outlets in prep area, on gaskets and bottom of freezer in the kitchen, on hood filters and waffle maker, and inside of smoker in downstairs prep area room; observed grease below grill and in between equipment on the cookline; handsink is slow to drain; faucet at three-compartment sink is leaking; chipping paint found on floors and walls in prep area downstairs and on walls next to handsink in front service line; fan guards in walk-in cooler and beer cooler downstairs are dusty; observed debris on floors and walls behind cookline; observed debris/litter on leftmost floor corner at bar area.

Hurley’s Tavern, 4028-J Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: employee’s drink on prep counter next to equipment and food is uncovered; raw eggs incorrectly stored over tomatoes; observed pink and black moldy substance inside ice machine; no chlorine sanitizer detected at dish machine; temperatures of chicken, hot dogs and sloppy joe meat in reach-in unit are elevated; cut cabbage in walk-in and reach-in units is past expiration date; black cutting board is heavily scratched; racks in walk-in are rusty; grout is worn in front of ice machine; light shield is missing; coving has fallen off behind soda cases; observed hole in ceiling above dry storage.

Tropical Smoothie Café, 4501 S. Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed plastic containers stored wet; cutting boards are stained and deeply cut/scratched; observed food debris inside equipment and on gaskets; observed build-up on bases of smoothie blenders; food splatter found on walls and doors by the blenders; observed dirt under equipment and dust on ceiling tiles.

Joey’s Hot Dogs, 4028-H Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed food debris and metal shavings on can opener blade; greasy build-up found on popcorn kettle maker; temperature of hot dogs in the reach-in unit is elevated; physical facilities need cleaning; ceiling vent is dusty; observed food splatter on wall behind chopper and soda splatter on ceiling near mopsink.
