Cava Grill, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed improper temperatures on rice, lentils, onions, lettuce, Greek vinaigrette sauce, spinach and slaw on front service line; observed wet nesting of metal pans on clean rack; spoons stored uninverted on clean cart in dish area; air temperature of refrigerated drawer in back kitchen is elevated; handsink near line and dish area in back kitchen is slow to drain; observed leak under handsink next to line/sandwich unit in back kitchen; cold water in front service line has low pressure; observed low grouting on floors in back kitchen.

Terraza, 6115 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: soda gun nozzle at the bar has grime deposits; carne deshebrada and salsa roja in the walk-in are not date marked; spray bottle of sanitizer is not labeled; observed a pan of carnitas incorrectly cooling while covered; just prepared guacamole was not cooled properly before adding to the prep unit; cutting boards have deep scratches and staining.

Cracker Barrel, 3620 Mayland Court – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: cook did not wash hands after cracking eggs; raw fish stored incorrectly above smoked pork chops in thaw box; temperature of meatloaf made the previous night is elevated (management needs better cooling process); temperature of trout in the thaw box is elevated; exterior of Henny Penny, Blodgett oven, small freezer on wheels, fryer wheels and fryer cabinets need cleaning; employee’s toilet has dirty area in bowl; peg board by prep sink is dirty; mop room wall is dirty; floor drain and grate under kettles are dirty.

Sonic Drive-In Restaurant, 5805 W. Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility does not have a certified food protection manager certificate; manager does not know the “Big 6” foodborne illnesses and associated signs and symptoms; observed food debris greater than one day old on slicers on shelf next to burger freezer unit; metal pans are wet nesting on rack above three-compartment sink; observed uninverted to-go trays on the cookline; cutting boards on the cookline are heavily scratched; low boy unit on cookline has torn gasket; observed rusty racks throughout; observed debris/grease on sides and in between equipment, under fryer and on grill on cookline; observed debris on shelves and racks throughout and on the outside of onion breading device; icicles found on pipes of walk-in freezer; observed leak from faucet and on pipe under the three-compartment sink; low grouting and/or cracked floor tiles throughout; walk-in cooler fan guards and ceiling vent above three-compartment sink are dusty; observed debris on floor under ice bin in the drive-through area.

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, 4402 S. Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed metal containers on clean dish rack still soiled with old food; door handle is soiled with breading/flour; observed grease on sides and wheels of fryers.

Burger King, 8801 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed food particles or other debris on dishes on the back drying rack; gasket is torn in the bottom door of the upright freezer; observed old ice cream residue built up on the ice cream machine table surface; grease/food residues found on equipment throughout the kitchen; ceiling vents in the kitchen are dusty; some ceiling tiles have stains.

Mosaic, 6229-A River Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: proper cooling methods not followed for mashed potatoes cooled overnight in deep container with saran wrap on top; multiple white powders at service station and on cookline are unlabeled; cutting boards on cookline and in prep area are heavily scratched; torn gaskets found on multiple refrigeration units; racks in walk-in cooler are rusty; faucet is leaking in employee restroom; ceiling tiles in dry storage room are not easily cleanable; observed chipping paint on floors throughout the kitchen.

Cook Out Restaurant, 4300 S. Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: container cooling ground beef did not have enough ice surrounding it; observed build-up of food and other debris in drains throughout the facility; observed build-up of grime under the ice machine.
