Bartizan, 4035 Whittall Way – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed an open can used by an employee; observed foie gras stored on top of veggies that appears uncooked; observed unlabeled bottles of soap; spray hose is leaking; brie has improper temperature because it is overfilled in the make table with paper dividers.

Fairfield Inn & Suites, 9937 Mayland Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no handwashing signage posted at the handsink; observed cleaners incorrectly hanging over single service items/condiments; observed coffee filters uncovered; hot faucet drips when turned off; ceiling panels are not smooth and cleanable; floors and floor edges are dirty.

Chili’s Grill & Bar, 9950 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: tortilla crisps in bins are uncovered; temperatures of cheese and ribs in the prep unit are elevated; observed single live roach in the kitchen; observed low grout throughout the kitchen, especially in the mopsink area.

Subway, 11234 Patterson Avenue – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

Taziki’s Mediterranean Café, 4024-C Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: cutting boards are heavily scratched; light shield is missing above chemical storage; grout is worn in front of the three-compartment sink; caulking at sink is moldy; gasket of walk-in is torn.

El Paso Mexican Restaurant, 3417 Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: no test kit for dish machine available; area between sink compartments is soiled.

Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches, 9018 Staples Mill Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: gasket on the leftmost door of the service line prep unit is torn off the door.

Honey Baked Ham, 200 Towne Center West Boulevard – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: temperature of chicken salad in low boy unit and walk-in is elevated.

Hibachi Sushi & Supreme Buffet, 8087 W. Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: observed rack on top of the handsink next to three-compartment sink (handsink is for handwashing only); multiple white powders on the cookline are unlabeled; observed opening on bottom of both back exit doors; oil boxes incorrectly stored on cook line floor and multiple food boxes incorrectly stored on walk-in freezer floor; knives incorrectly stored in between crevices of equipment on the cookline; observed wet nesting of pans on shelf on the cookline; whisks stored uninverted on shelf under prep table and forks/spoons stored uninverted at service station; cutting boards on cookline and in dish area are heavily scratched; racks throughout the back kitchen are rusty; observed gap greater than one inch on hood filters at the cook station; multiple refrigeration units in the kitchen have torn gaskets; observed debris in between equipment, on hood filters, on piping under the entire cookline and under grill; observed dust on fan and debris on rack next to dish area, in walk-in cooler and on shelves at sushi station; faucet at prep sink behind the cookline is leaking; unused blender, plates and other items in back storage area and in room next to dish room should be removed; floor tiles throughout the kitchen are cracked; observed low grouting throughout the kitchen; light shield in walk-in cooler is cracked; observed stained walls in dish area, under prep sink in back kitchen and at service station; fan guards in both walk-in coolers are dusty; observed debris under ice machine, on floors at cookline, on floor corners of dry storage room and hibachi/sushi station, and at the bar; ceiling in dry storage room is stained and floors under counters/ice machine are stained.

Waffle House, 3202 E. Parham Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: gaskets are torn in the two-door and four-door reach-ins; lower portion of the wall under the back dish area is dirty.

Jadean’s Smokin Six O, 1126 Westbriar Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperatures of beans and wings inside cabinet are too low; hush puppy mix is at room temperature and needs to be on time control; clean utensils found stored on linen instead of a cleanable non-absorbent material.

Chez Max Restaurant, 10622 Patterson Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: dish machine is not sanitizing; Caesar dressing made in-house has exceeded its shelf life; no consumer advisory is given for a drink at the bar made with raw eggs; two bottles of soap found unlabeled; coffee/tea filters found uncovered; observed copper jiggers at the bar; can opener holder is soiled; soda holster at bar is slimy; floor edge in dish room is not smooth and cleanable; dish room wall has holes; floor in bar corner is dirty; observed trash on bar floor.
