Tarrants West, 11129 Three Chopt Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: bar handsink is missing towels; no chlorine residual in final rinse; temperature of grits made yesterday is elevated because of improper cooling methods; temperature of brown rice is too low; fryer cabinets, fryer wheels, chest freezer and Delfield unit vent need cleaning; wooden support on dish area wall is mildewed; floor under fryers has build-up; floor drain under the dish machine is soiled.

Knockout Steak, 1404 N. Parham Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility does not have a certified food protection manager certificate; observed uninverted to-go containers and forks on the cookline; cutting board on front line is heavily scratched; observed grease and debris under fryer and in between equipment on the cookline and on hood filters; observed debris on racks in back kitchen, on racks in low boy unit on cookline and inside an unused sandwich unit in back kitchen; faucet at three-compartment sink in back kitchen is leaking; handsink on front line is leaking; observed multiple cast off items in back kitchen; observed low grouting on floors of back kitchen; observed debris on floor behind reach-in in back kitchen; walls behind cookline are stained; observed debris/grease on floor under fryers and soda machine on the cookline; light bulbs in back kitchen are unshielded.

TGI Friday’s, 7023 W. Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed debris inside of bowl on clean rack and on multiple utensils, scoops and plate on the cookline; temperatures of pasta cooked last night and lettuce on prep top unit are elevated because proper cooling methods were not used; observed opening on corner of back door; observed wet nesting of bowls on clean rack next to the dish machine; observed uninverted to-go trays on the cookline; food stains and debris found on multiple single-service trays and cups on the cookline; walk-in cooler in prep area has torn gasket; gap greater than one inch found on hood filters on the cookline; air temperature in refrigerated door on cookline is elevated; racks in walk-in cooler/dry storage/service area are rusty; lid for plastic lexan pan in walk-in cooler is cracked; observed debris and/or grease accumulation on racks and shelves throughout, on counter top corners, behind bread toaster, inside of utensil/single service containers, in between equipment on the cookline, on bottom of reach-in freezer, inside and under ovens and cheese melter, under grill on cookline, on hood filters, on pipes and coils behind fryers and on wheels of fryers on the cookline, outside of grease recirculating filter in prep area, in soda gun holder in service station/bar areas, on fryer baskets, and inside microwaves on cookline; faucet at prep sink is leaking; fan guards in all walk-in coolers and ceiling vent on cookline are dusty; walls throughout are stained; observed debris on floors of walk-in cooler and freezer, under and next to equipment and tables in prep area, and under ice machines; observed low grouting and cracked tiles throughout; walls in dry storage room have holes.

Mona Lounge, 2442 Old Brick Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: ice cubes being handled without gloves; raw chicken stored incorrectly over salmon; observed breading being used at room temperature (store in refrigerator or sift after use); spray bottle of bleach is unlabeled; facility does not have a metal stemmed thermometer; facility does not have a QT-40/44 test kit available for multi-quat.

Chianti Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria, 1304 Gaskins Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: facility does not have a certified food protection manager; temperature of lasagna made yesterday is elevated because it was not cooled properly; temperature of sausage links is elevated because it was in a container with a cover; lower wall under three-compartment sink has a hole and still requires attention; some ceiling panels are stained and uncleanable.

Ukrop’s Market Hall, 7250 Patterson Avenue – The following violation was reported during a follow-up inspection: the quaternary ammonium sanitizer level at three-compartment sink in bakery section is greater than 400 ppm.

Bernie’s Sub & Pizza Shop, 415 N. Ridge Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: wooden cutting board in prep area is heavily scratched; observed rusty racks, a torn gasket, rusty fan and broken door handles on reach-in units in back kitchen; observed chipped paint on walls and deterioration of floor tiles; observed holes in ceiling in back kitchen throughout.

Chick-fil-A, 9100 W. Broad Street – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: water temperature at handsink by the salad unit is not reaching 100 degrees Fahrenheit within 60 seconds.

Starbucks Coffee Company, 3820 Gaskins Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: wiping cloth solution found very milky; while filling coffee, containers were placed on the floor; observed cups extended above fill for dispensers; coffee frappuccino dispenser leaks; facility does not have heat strips or maximum-registering thermometer available to double check dish machine; caulking behind three-compartment sink floor is mildewed; handsinks and prep sinks along counters have build-up.

Moody Middle School, 7800 Woodman Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: can opener blade is soiled.

Glen Allen Elementary School, 1101 Mill Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: observed wall and floor beneath the prep sink with low grout and in disrepair.

Virginia Randolph Education Center, 2206 Mountain Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: observed dead roaches in the mopsink area.
