Mr. Wong II Chinese Restaurant, 8715 Shrader Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed unlabeled chemical containers at the three-compartment sink; shredded cabbage incorrectly placed in the prep top to cool; observed a large bowl of meat on the kitchen floor and another bowl of meat on the walk-in floor; soiled cardboard and other porous material incorrectly used to line shelves; metal racks in the walk-in are rusty; dry storage racks and sides of fryers are soiled; observed old debris and spills under tables and equipment on the pass-thru line.

Jackie’s on Laburnum, 1241 N. Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: metal strainers are damaged and in disrepair; observed dust on portable fans; observed dust and grease on surfaces of the hood system and suppression hoses; floors and some ceiling tiles are not smooth and easily cleanable.

Five Guys Burgers & Fries, 1071 Virginia Center Parkway – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Hunan Café, 9117 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: egg rolls and fried chicken pieces in the walk-in are being improperly cooled in large, deep and sometimes covered containers; cutting boards at the prep unit have deep scratches; observed old chipping paint on shelves at the front counter; sides of fryers in between equipment are soiled with grease.

Econo Lodge, 7300 W. Broad Street – The following violations reported during a routine inspection: employee restroom is missing paper towels; various maintenance chemicals incorrectly stored above waffle mix in the back room; facility does not have quaternary ammonium test strips for the sanitizer at the sink; observed dust and staining inside storage cabinets in the back room.

Caffespresso, 1127 Gaskins Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: handsink is missing paper towels; no dates found on cream cheese, cured meats, cooked eggs and soup; no Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan is written and approved; cheese found vacuum sealed; observed standing water inside milk reach-in; interior of microwave has spillage; area by the water filters has coffee grounds; interior levels of milk reach-in need cleaning; cold water faucet is not working at the handsink.

Ukrop’s Market Hall, 7250 Patterson Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed 0 ppm quaternary ammonium sanitizer levels at three-compartment sink at bakery section; internal sanitizing temperature was not 160 degrees or above; temperature of white rolls with meat prepped yesterday in front display case is elevated; observed wet nesting of plastic lexan pans on a clean rack across from the three-compartment sink; observed slight debris on hood filters at fry station in back kitchen, on sides of pizza oven on front service line and inside of microwave in back kitchen; observed debris on floors under equipment in the back kitchen.

Buckhead’s Chop House & Restaurant, 8510 Patterson Avenue – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: temperature of buttermilk in the reach-in unit is elevated; observed torn gaskets in low boy and reach-in unit in prep area of back kitchen; fan guards in walk-in cooler are dusty; racks in the reach-in unit on the cookline are dusty; reach-in unit in the prep area has a broken door handle; wooden shelves in dry storage room are not easily cleanable; cutting boards in prep and dish area are stained and heavily scratched; handsink on cookline and handsink in the men’s restroom are slow to drain; observed leaking faucet at prep sink; receptacles in employee’s and women’s restrooms are missing lids; observed cracked ceiling tiles above reach-in unit on cookline and cracked floor tiles and low grouting throughout the kitchen; observed heavy stains and debris on wall behind dish machine; ceiling vent in dish area is dusty; debris found on bar area floor; ceiling tiles in back of the facility are not easily cleanable.

Atlantic Coast Athletic Club, 2201 Old Brick Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility does not have a certified food protection manager certificate; handsink is missing paper towels; no date found on an open package of turkey; soap dispenser is unlabeled; observed box of plastic cups incorrectly stored on the storeroom floor; no QT-10 test strips available; wall in kitchen and storeroom are in disrepair; ceiling vents are dirty.

Panda Express, 11286 W. Broad Street – No violations reported during a routine inspection.
